IKI Institute
Research to inspire
Our own research organisation, founded in 2023.
IKI Institute is our research organisation. We established it in 2023 as a not-for-profit company, IKI Institute Sp. z o.o., wholly owned by the Foundation.
IKI runs its own scientific agenda and co-creates interdisciplinary initiatives with scientists and institutions, building teams that cross domains. It designs concepts, methods, frameworks, digital infrastructure and research tools, with advanced technological competence, sustainability and practical impact in mind.
Why research
The institute grew out of a conviction that has guided us since the magazine days: inspiration begins with attention. It helps us look closer, dig deeper, feel sharper and ask better questions. Until the unnoticed begins to matter.
Research at IKI Institute connects our work in culture and public space with science, technology and the economy. It gives the Foundation a second leg to stand on: next to the gallery and the projects in the city, a place where questions are asked in a disciplined way and answered with methods, data and tools.
